Ade Onilude CEO & Founder Women In Marketing

Ade is the founder and chief executive officer of the social enterprise, Women in Marketing Community Interest company (WIM CiC), established to educate, inspire, connect, recognise, and empower female marketers. In 2004, she launched, WIM’s first forum, in 2004 on International Women’s Day and in 2010, she created the first WIM Awards with a mission to promote, recognise and celebrate women’s achievements in making a difference in a profession that touches the public in millions of ways every day, this has evolved to recognise male advocates. WIM represents the changing global landscape of marketing through the female lens.

During her membership of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and prior to founding WIM, she joined the London board. She became Chair of CIMCOM, the CIM marketing communications forum, working with industry bodies from advertising, public relations, and design for six years. In 2013, she was honoured the Power List of Black Women in Europe™ and World of Difference 100 award by The International Alliance for Women (TIAW)  in Washington DC for her contribution and dedication to women in marketing. Ade was a mentor of the advisory board for the Diversity in Marketing & Advertising European Summit where she also provided strategic advice, to support the series from 2017-2018. Throughout her multifaceted career, Ade has worn many hats – working in regeneration, community politics, and modelling, she has spent the majority of her career working in the luxury retail sector and studied marketing at The University of Arts.

Ade is passionate about challenging the gender norms and is an advocate of the global economic empowerment of women.
