David Beer is a commercial leader who has over the past thirty years been working in, learning, understanding and rethinking how technology is changing the way we live, work and play.

He has been heavily involved in shaping the UK FinTech ecosystem over the last twelve years. He worked with the UK Government, financial services firms and fintech leaders to scale and grow Innovate Finance the UK FinTech membership body. He then helped found and launch FinTech Alliance to support FinTech businesses to access investment, market opportunities, talent, government engagement and international opportunities. Recently he has worked with NatWest Group to help their venture businesses access new market opportunities to grow their customer base.

David has also consulted with many UK Fintech firms as an advisory to their executive team and board. He is currently working for Smarter Contracts which has created Pulse®, a new standard for data privacy and consent management. Powered by blockchain technology and machine learning, it provides a complete view of all customer data in real-time, while making data sharing the simple, transparent and everyday experience it should be in a data-driven business.

David is a passionate, FinTech-focused, outcome-driven professional, with a motivation to commercialise and deliver business success. Worked and supported innovation, digital transformation and creation of new business models in financial services, fintech, sustainability and climate change initiatives across the globe.  He has extensive commercial, partnerships, strategy, management, people, leadership

and advisory skills with a proven record of establishing new markets, improving performance, growing revenue, creating long-term relationships, increasing profitability and attracting investment.
